Battlefield 2 Released!

I will be covering some major events that occurred while I was gone with quick posts in the coming week.

The release of Battlefield 2 was a huge event within the gaming community. Even many MMORPG players - myself included - took a break to play this game, and for good reason. The latest game in the Battlefield franchise is great.

I loved BF1942, and this sequel is a vast improvement on its predecessor. The addition of a commander, ranks, an imroved interface, and VOIP all make this the best online FPS I have played.

Download the demo here or from the official site.

Into the Wild...

Our hero ventures into the wilderness of blogdom on a quest for knowledge and the Holy Grail*: the ultimate gaming blog. So far, the Cup of Wisdom and Long Life has not been found, but some lesser gems have:
  • Button Mashing - While not strictly relegated to MMOs, this blog's merits are obvious. In addition to great writing, it was the first site to host the Carnival of Gamers.
  • The Video Game Ombudsman - Exceptional E3 coverage and detailed, informative articles make it a must-read for any avid gamer.
In other news, Silky Venom posted a new video showcasing Vanguard's races as part of their E3 coverage. A direct link to the video can be found here.

*Speaking of the Holy Grail, I finally read The Da Vinci Code, which sucked. 'Nuff said.

/Afk and Thanks for All the Fish

I'm going to have a very busy (though not necessarily difficult) summer this year, with summer school, camp, vacation, and various other activities. I therefore will be posting on a more sporadic basis than what I'd like. I simply won't be able to get to the keyboard very much.

I'm passing my EQ2 characters to a friend of mine for the time being, who may also post here. You can find Brungo the UIA conspiracy theorist here.

This is only for the time being, and I'll be sure to announce when I'm back (definitely by the time Desert of Flames rears its ugly head).
